Design Process

We endeavor to create compelling and effective visual products for all of our clients, big and small. Each client and project presents us with a unique and interesting design challenge. Drawing upon an extensive background in creating a wide range of communication products and strategies, we help our clients define and develop their own unique visual presence and strategy. We work with you to define and accomplish your stategy. When you are ready to get started download our R.F.P. This document helps you to clarify you desires and it helps us to understand where you have been and where you want to go with your project.
We review your completed R.F.P. and through series of conversations we work with you to assess the project needs and we define what is key about your product or service. Through our solutions based integral approach, we clarify what sets your brand apart and articulate the value of the product within the target market.
Next we interpret our research and create a scalable action plan. This document outlines the creative possibilities, their methodologies, and associated costs. It is through this a la carte menu that we will determine the project scope and develop an action plan.
The action plan is revised and becomes our estimate and agreement. We now have a framework within which to design.
Our action plan provides a summary of items discussed in the intial meetings and outlines of the work be done on the project. This framework is the most important pre-production item, it insures that the final product will meet your requirements.

We understand that there may be further conceptual refinement to the project prior or post of the commencement of production. In this case a revised and final agreement will be prepared if necessary.
Once we have received a signed contract and an initial payment, our skilled team of professionals begin work on your project. Initiation of a production schedule may be contingent upon current bookings at the time projects are awarded and scheduled. Design meeting is scheduled.

This crucial meeting, addresses all the various issues of the project look and feel, gives our creative team the opportunity to further understand what the client is seeking. During this time, we may also deal with project management issues, such as the establishment a single point of contact for each team and the creation a project time-line. Our goal in this meeting is to set the expectation levels for both your team and ours as well as explain the process by which we will operate to complete the project.

Once we have an approved scope document and information architecture, we can move forward with the actual design of the project. At this point any pertinent information must be delivered to to us and agreed upon by you.

For example, the initial comps for web design will require the following elements to get underway:

logo in .eps or similar format

graphic standards (if applicable)

home page content

signed scope document

Once we have all your requirements and a solid idea of the direction(s) to persue we create 2 or more design alternatives for your review and selection. Modification completed if needed.

After the graphical layout of the site has been completed, it's time to flow the content. This point in the process is crucial because you are part of the process.

This is perhaps the client's most difficult deliverable, content may need to be created from scratch or pulled together from a number of existing resources. Generally it must be reviewed by several people before it is approved.

It is crucial that clients focus on content creation while we are creating the UI and design. Unfortunatley, when clients do not provide content on time project schedules get pushed back.

Once content is flowed, there will be a review to make minor revisions and edits.

We ask you for your feed back we revise if nessesary.
You approve. We build.

We crank the crank. Then, when we are finished you submit any final content edits.

Once we have completed any content edits, it is time to quality test the final site. This stage gives us a final opportunity to double check functionality and find any unnoticed errors. Tests are conducted on a PC running IE 5.0 unless your project specifies otherwise.

Upon completion of the testing phase, we will ask for your final approval of the site. Once it is given, all applicable files will be turned over to you in the manner requested (transfer to your web server, sent via email, cd, dvd, etc.).

Successful project! We look forward to working with you in the future and appreciate you recommending us to your colleagues
Cheers!
